Name: Acid Cold Infusion Tea
Appearance: Colorado Claro
Burning: Even light, Even burn, no relight needed
Construction: Tight draw, wrapper stayed intact
Taste: Light and smooth with a hit of sweet
Final Comments: Light and Smooth. The tight draw was disappointing. But I enjoyed it and would smoke again.
I first enjoyed this smoke at a release party a few months ago, where I had the privilege to meet and talk to Steve Saka about this cigar and others of the Drew Estate line.
Now for the review stuff.
The Liga Privada no. 9 has a Connecticut broadleaf maduro wrapper, a Brazilian Mata Fina binder, and is made up of Dominican, Honduran, and Nicaraguan fillers which gives it a full and complex flavor. One thing to note is, that unlike most of the drew Estate line, the No. 9 is not an infused cigar; this is one of the reasons that Steve had this cigar blended for himself. While talking to him I found out that he is not fond of infused cigars.
I found the No.9 to be full-bodied with woody/peppery tones that are slightly sweet. It has a good draw, even and long burn. Great after a heavy meal or with a glass of port. The only down side to this cigar is that if you do not like a heavy and complex flavors you my not enjoy it as much as I did. But I do encourage you to try one for yourself, and let me know what you think.
