Conch Republic Cigar

DSC04309Hello all! So over the past weekend I took some time off and went to the Fla. Keys to go camping on the beach with my wife and two good friends of ours. We sat in the wonderful tropical breeze and smoked a few good cigars.

During the trip we spent a day in Key West, where we stopped by a local cigar maker’s shop called Conch Republic Cigar Factory. I’ve had their cigars before and enjoyed them very much, so I thought I’d do a review of their cigars for you.

My focus for the review today is their Robusto a 5×50 Connecticut shade wrapper, long-leaf Dominican binder, and Honduran filler. This cigar has a rich smooth earthy taste with a peppery note to it, a wonderful draw and good burn. I smoke this cigar to a nub every time. I have also smoked this same robusto but with the maduro wrapper. The maduro wrapper gave it a stronger spicy note.

So if you find yourself in Key West I incurage you to stop by the Conch Republic Cigar Factory and pick-up a cigar or two. I will also include a link to their site so if you feel like ording a box or want more info it’s there for you. Let me know what you think of them.

And don’t forget “It’s simply about the cigar.”
