It has taken us a little longer than we hoped but the final server migration has been completed, the upload/recovery of all missing data and photos is also complete (as far as we can tell), the mobile theme has been restored (hurray for phone access), ability to log in and out is back, and most of the links have been reset and tested.

We have taken additional steps with our new ISP and any content providers to ensure that this does not happen again. If you find anything is missing or out of place please let us know.

Thanks again for sticking with us. We hope to bring you all many more reviews, news, and information for a long time to come!

Just want to thank you all for sticking with us so far. Right now we have gained access to some of our data but we are still working on recovering posts past April 09 and all of our photos. The mobile theme and the ability to login and comment will also be restored shortly. The server migration is almost complete and we should, hopefully, not experience any more problems in the future.

Just wanted to update everyone about the current amount of downtime we have been experiencing. Our old ISP has been experiencing major system issues and as such we have been down quite a bit these last few weeks. Most of our data is currently inaccesible but we have been assured that back-ups will soon be available. In the mean time we are migrating to a more stable location in hope of avoiding anymore downtime in the future.

Once our data is recovered (in whole or in part) we will start to load it into the new server. Please check back soon and thank you for your patience.

Hey everyone! Just wanted to let you all know about a new section we are starting up called “Cigar Nubs.” This new section will feature quick mini reviews, just the highlights and overall score of the cigar. Think of it as the aficionado’s espresso shot: small, strong, and to the point. If at any time any of you wish to have a more detailed review posted just let me know.

Hello, I would like to take a moment to tell you who I am and what makes me an expert in telling you about cigars. To start I’m no expert, just want to put that out there right now. I am a lover and enjoyer of fine cigars and I want to share my passion with you.

A good friend and I came up with the idea for this site so that we may enhance your smoking experience. We found a lack of informative sites that gave a non-biased view into the cigar world. So here we are! Lets start with me. I’m 28 years old, just out of the Army National Guard, and looking for good work in a bad economy. I’ve been happily married for 6 years now and … but so as not to bore you with little details lets just say I’m a average guy. No more no less. I started smoking cigars when I was about 20. I started because it reminded me of my grandfather who passed away when I was 5 years old. I was sitting with my boss in the back room of the pet shop that I worked for at the time when he lit an Arturo Fuente. The smell of that cigar brought back so many wonderful memories of my late grandfather. So started my new found love of cigars.

Now that you know a little more about me let me tell you what I’m going to be doing for you. At least once a week I will be reviewing a cigar and posting it on the site. Also I’ll be informing you about different cigar events and the people I talk with at these events. It’s just that simple. In addition I invite you to ask me questions and share your thoughts on cigars. If there is a cigar you want to see a review on don’t hesitate to speak up. Just remember “It’s simply about the cigar.”
